Tarot Energy 11.14.21

From the Circle of Life Tarot by Maria Distefano
This week's card, the 8 of Pentacles, visits today to remind us of the importance of our mundane work. Whatever it is that we do on a day-to-day basis is key to our learning and growth as spiritual beings. Eight is the number of work, discipline, responsibility, and wealth, and the suit of Pentacles once again puts an emphasis on the material part of our lives. We may sometimes feel as if we're doing the same thing over and over and over again, perhaps in our job or in our daily routine. This can create boredom and frustration for any of us, but our challenge lies in this repetition and how we deal with it. Can we bring a sense of love and dedication to what we're doing, even when fatigue or ennui sets in? Can we find a sense of purpose, even in acts and events that may not seem especially earth-shaking? Not every moment of our lives will be transcendent, but we can try to bring a spiritual sense of love to all we do, no matter how mundane the task may be. This card also tells us that practice makes perfect -- if we want to become a master of something, we must do the work, over and over and over again, to achieve that pinnacle, that personal best that gives us a sense of achievement. Eights challenge us to master ourselves so that we can overcome any obstacle that crosses our spiritual path. It is through discipline that we may find transcendence. Where can you apply this diligence in your life?
May we all overcome the obstacles that keep us from joy, especially when that obstacle is our own shadow self.
